captionStory from Jam Press (Real Life Elf) Pictured: Luis Padron in 2022. 'I'm a real life ELF and have spent £61,000 on my body transformation including eye colour change and skin whitening' A ‘real-life’ elf has revealed how he has spent $80,000 (£61,000) to look like a mythical creature. Luis Padron has long been interested in ‘pleiadian’ elves – also known as Nordic aliens – who “embody an ideal of timelessness and purity”. The 28-year-old decided to try and emulate the look – which involves the trademark long, sharp ears of an elf and a pale complexion – spending tens of thousands of pounds on his transformation. “I've done several surgeries, big and small, some at the same time, and some in a time span of just a couple of months between each other,” Luis, a publicist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, told What's The Jam. “My journey began refining facial features for a more ethereal appearance, starting with a nose job, jaw restructuring and eye colour changing laser surgeries. “Skin whitening treatments helped to achieve the pale, luminous look associated with elves. “My ears were cut to be pointy, and so on. “For me, it is not important the quantity or quality of the surgeries done, I just focus on the result and goals.” Luis says adjusting to these changes – undertaken over an unspecified period of time – was also a challenge. He said: “They required both physical and emotional resilience. “The surgeries were demanding and required careful recovery time. “Additionally, embracing this transformation publicly came with its own set of challenges – including navigating the diverse reactions from others and staying true to my vision amidst scrutiny. “Yet, every challenge has been a step towards embodying the fantasy I’ve always envisioned. “I used to be very reserved and shy, and, as a former victim of bullying, I feared rejection. “But I learned that some people embrace my journey with support and curiosity, even sometimes finding it helpful for their own lives. “People have been lovely and I'm forever thankful for that, I cherish the encouragement and understanding from those who support me. “There are some critics, of course. “For the criticism or negativity, I strive to maintain resilience and focus on my own goals, recognising that personal transformation often challenges conventional perceptions. “I understand that my choices may challenge conventional views, and I appreciate constructive feedback as an opportunity for dialogue. “Attacks are ignored, since they are just a reflection of poor education and lack of empathy.” And he claims his self-perception has evolved 'profoundly' since making the surgical changes to his appearance. He said: “Initially, I saw my transformation as a physical manifestation of my inner dreams. “Over time, it has also deepened my understanding of self-expression and personal identity. “While there are moments of doubt or reflection, particularly when facing challenges or criticism, these are part of a broader journey of growth.” Looking to the future, Luis has yet more surgery planned. He explained: “I have been looking into getting 3D printed facial implants, as well as rib removal to the shape the waist.” Now, he has his own business where he sells elf-inspired contact lenses, hair dye, wigs, clothing and accessories, and has been taking on modelling jobs. He added: “The experiences and transformations over the years have enriched my understanding of myself and my place in the world, and allows me to help people and make the world a better place, which is my main goal. “The process has been challenging but immensely rewarding, and I am deeply satisfied with my achievements. “I would like to add that no matter the adversity, one should never give up in the pursuit of one's dreams. “You can achieve great things no matter what you look like or how you feel or where you come from.” ENDS EDITOR’S NOTES: Video Usage Licence: (NON-EXCLUSIVE) We have obtained a non-exclusive licence from the copyright holder.
