I’ll do it! “I’m a bit of a yogi at heart, and a little obsessed with anti-ageing skincare, so a combo of alternative medicine and a skin-clock rewind was perfect for me. Also, when I heard ‘massage’, I was promptly front and centre to volunteer as a guinea pig.” What to expect “Firstly, there is a short consultation on your skin, stress levels and health. Then you’re seated in what might be the world’s comfi est reclining chair (FYI, a French camping chair) and have a blanket placed over you.” What it’s like “Despite Jill’s warnings not to expect a spa-like facial, the pressure didn’t hurt at all. In fact, I found it more relaxing than regular facials because it really loosened up tense muscles. Jill did little taps around my face to stimulate the refl ex zones and then worked on my face from the centre outwards. It was so relaxing I actually kept zoning in and out. If it weren’t for having to get back to the o ce, I could’ve laid there all day.”Did it work?“Yes! I went to work sans make-up (unheard of!) and was greeted with comments on my ‘glowy’ skin (no illuminator required). I couldn’t stop touching my skin, as the rosehip oil made it feel really smooth and hydrated (to be honest, I couldn’t stop looking at it). The usual dark circles were nowhere to be seen and my skin really did feel lifted. It felt like this for about a week, and I swear a few laugh lines have gone missing.” Just one thing…“It’s rather expensive, especially if you do the full 12-session course. But if the fi rst visit’s results are anything to go by, I’ll defi nitely be heading back to rejuvenate tired, stressed skin.”Rikki saw JCL therapist Jill Freestone at Select Health E ects in Sydney, selecthealth.com.au “My skin really did feel lifted” WF ed coordinator (and anti-ageing nut) Rikki Hodge could
