GENIUS MUM USES GREEN SPRAY PAINT TO BRING HER DEAD PLANTS BACK TO LIFE WITH PIX By Cally Brooks A mum who struggled to keep her plants alive came up with a hilarious way of keeping them around - by SPRAY PAINTING them green. Gail Woollaston, 38, was fed up after her plants kept dying leaving her garden looking worse for wear and wanted to come up with a cost effective solution to her problems. The nursery worker, from Kingstanding, Birmingham, spent £3.99 on green spray paint at her local hardware store. Gail went home and spray painted her dead plants, much to the amusement of her children Kian, 11, and Aiva, 10, but the results have left people wondering whether this could be the next big trend. Gail posted the results online and was inundated with strangers praising her for coming up with the best cost effective solution for those who struggle with keeping their plants alive. And now Gail has vowed to keep her neighbours and friends convinced she is a gardening expert by spray painting all of her plants green once they inevitably die. She said: "I thought my garden was looking a bit untidy so I decided to come up with my own solution and I think it worked! "I am DIY obsessed - I up-cycle anything and this was going to be a fun experiment for me. "I paid a lot of money for the plants and I didn't want to get rid of them - I had tried everything to bring them back to life but it wasn't working. "The first time I tried it, I got the wrong paint so the plant looked too bright and fake but then I mixed two different colours together, and it turned out perfectly. My friends have said that they wouldn't have known any different! "I think I might have started a trend. My kids are annoyed because my Facebook post has got more attention than their TikToks and I find it hilarious". ENDS
