NEW 2,500-CALORIE PIZZA IS TOPPED WITH 24K GOLD WITH PIX By Hannah Phillips If you had a resolution to quit junk food and get fit during lockdown, look away now as a restaurant has just launched a 2,500-calorie 24K gold pizza - dubbed The Michelin One. Crazy Pedro's has launched a posh and boujee lockdown special unlike anything diners have seen before. Hundreds of people have already snapped up the 2,500-calorie feast – launched this month by Crazy Pedro’s, a pizzeria in central Manchester, and topped not only with a generous helping of Wagyu beef, burrata and fresh black truffle but with sprinkles of 24K gold. Nick Coupland, 28, from the firm, said: "We haven't been able to do anything special for the past three months so we thought we'd go pretty big with something quite decadent. "With the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, bars seem to be putting on offers and making things cheaper so we thought we'd do the opposite and make it over the top." The outlandish feast is only the second of its kind in the world and the whole pizza will only set you back £20. Nick said: "It's absolutely flying, the customers love it, we're struggling to get the ingredients and it's mind blowing how expensive it is. "It's not about making money, it's about letting people enjoy a mad pizza. "There's only one other place in the world who's done this in Vegas and they charge about £6,000." ENDS
