Video Story:Rescued Cow Dangles From Chopper After Falling Off Cliff

This is the startling moment a cow is strapped to a harness and lifted into the air before being flown to safety as it dangles from a helicopter after falling off a cliff. The cow had reportedly fallen off the cliff by the side of the SP 92 road in the town of Arsiero, in the northern Italian region of Vento. Firefighters were called to the scene as the cow was unable to get out from the bottom of the cliff by itself, and the fire brigade decided to use the Drago 71 helicopter in the rescue mission. In the video, the helicopter can be seen flying over the scene of the accident when a tope with a harness is lowered down to two firefighters with the cow at the bottom of the cliff. The firefighters strap the harness around the cow and the animal is then lifted high into the air by the helicopter. The pilot then flies away from the cliff with the cow hanging far below in the harness. The cow can then be seen being lowered in a grassy area where rescuers are waiting and a press statement from the firefighters said the animal was not injured in the incident. (T4 / ends)
